The 2.5-litre T5 adds two stainless-steel, 90mm-diameter tail pipes. The wide, flat boot now has a luggage cover but Volvo's signature cabin item, the 'flying' centre stack, remains but with an option called Oyster Burst DГ©co that, Volvo says, was inspired by the surface texture of the classic Swedish HagstrГ¶m guitars which used the word 'burst' in many of its instruments whose finish shifts between light and dark.Д«uyers who like to be ruff and tuff might opt for the styling kit that adds decoration to the fog lights, front and rear skid plates and sill anti-scuff plates with an engraved C30 logo.

You can build your options into your order. Some fresh interior options have also been introduced, among them a colour combination called Espresso/Blond: a dark brown upper section and a pale shade on the lower door sides, and new upholstery colour, Cranberry. 'The white wheels will no doubt raise a few eyebrows,' says Volvo SA's Michelle Naude, 'but that's the point - the new C30 offers more choice for those who dare to be different.'

Other exterior features include a startling new colour - Orange Flame Metallic, that's it in the pictures - as well as big tailpipes on some models and two wheel style options and the availability of white rims for the first time. The car's tail also has deep new lines and detailing and, the automaker says, its contours are much more dynamic and the black plastic panels have been replaced with more body colour lower down 'to forge a closer visual contact between the car and the road'.

The air intake has also grown to resemble that of the much bigger XC60, but the new pattern on the grille is unique to the C30.
